The Other’s Mirror is an interactive installation built with a half-silvered mirror and a dual-screen structure. As viewers peer into the interior through a narrow passage, the initially calm dreamlike imagery shifts, in response to their approach, into a reality resembling a surveillance corridor. Through optical superimposition, the viewer’s face overlaps with the figure on the screen, allowing them to be perceived both as an intrusive “other” entering the inner space and as a “self” drawn into the image. Through this act of viewing, the work explores moments in which the boundary between self and other is disturbed, exchanged, and reconfigured.

About  Works

Exploring ideas and images that can exist only within media art. By assigning improper functions, dismantling original significations, and blending form with content, my work exposes the symbolic systems in which we operate.
